Delightful Nonsense And Insane Sanity

You must nurture the silliness, me oh my, oh dear,

In every corner far and near.

In your thoughts where wild winds do play,

And in what words little children have to say.

In the way a plant will bend and twist,

To chase the sun it nightly missed.

In quirks of nature so odd and bright,

Where laughter dances, chasing light.

For all silliness, you must defend,

It's our oldest and truest friend.

A shield against these horrors and gloom,

A spark of joy eminently gleaming within every room.

It is the harbinger of steadfast hope,

The thread of grace in which we cope.

So stay silly and please never stray away

It’s the only way to keep the doom at bay.

In soft or unrestrained silliness youll find your delight,

For it will guide you through the unsettling plight.

As I wrote Delightful Nonsense and Insane Sanity, I found myself drawn to the whimsical essence that has always served as a balm against the harsh edges of life. This poem is an ode to the silliness that exists in the most unexpected places—the way a child rambles with reckless abandon, or how a plant twists toward the light with determined grace. I wanted to capture the magic of these moments, the quirky, absurd beauty that keeps us afloat amidst the gloom. Silliness, to me, is not just a fleeting joy, but a necessary force, an age-old tool that shields us from the darkness. It is both delightfully nonsensical and profoundly sane, a reminder that even in life’s heaviest moments, laughter and lightheartedness will always guide us through.
